It’s hard to believe it’s been 3 years since I started this blog. The first post was simply a list of useful Mac applications.

I’m grateful for the ability to write. I have really come to see the value of writing more and more. Writing is in my top 10 list of human skills in the agentic knowledge work era.

I thought I’d pick out a couple of my favorite posts from each year:

2023

  • 2023-05-03: LLMs, Work and the Future of Jobs. At the time, Allen Downey encouraged all developers to use LLM-assistance in their development. This motivated me to use the best model at the time (GPT-4) in my day-to-day. And this was before all the improvements we’ve seen in AI since that point: better models (reasoning, GPT-5.3, Opus 4.6) and agents and agent harnesses like Claude Code.
  • 2023-06-24: Being Able to Focus is a Superpower. Still very relevant today.
